Emerald Isle Real Estate

If you’re looking for a safe, warm and welcoming place to live on the North Carolina coast, then you’ll certainly want to consider Emerald Isle real estate. We’re called “a family beach” for a reason—our town has a wonderful sense of community and safety that we can promise will suit your need for relocation-- whether permanent or just for the summer months. Nestled on a barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and the Bogue Sound, Emerald Isle is a beautiful, relaxing place to live on the coast. Who wouldn’t want to live in paradise year-round? Click here for the rest of the article.

There’s plenty to do in Emerald Isle, despite its small size. In the summer months, water sports are popular here, with two different bodies of water to choose from: the sound, or the ocean. Kayaking, windsurfing, deep sea fishing, sailing and of course swimming are just to name a few of the many activities you’ll have at your fingertips. Local water sports agencies will rent or sell you equipment for your adventures.

Your Emerald Isle home will be your own piece of paradise. In the winter months, or if you’re not the athletic type, there is plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Pine Knoll Shores is just a short drive away, where you’ll find the North Carolina Aquarium. The aquarium offers kayaking tours, and other hands-on experiences, as well as the normal tours and exhibits available. Sharks, otters, jellyfish, rays and other sea creatures are just waiting for you to come and see them. Fort Macon State Park is also just a short trip away—the fort is a popular spot for wedding receptions, tours, or just some time for quiet thought. Photographers will also love the opportunity to take some great pictures here.

Don’t let our small size fool you, Emerald Isle is a great place to live. That’s why we draw so many tourists every year. Take a look through our selection of Emerald Isle real estate, to find the home that’s perfect for you.
